When CenterShops co-founders Sanghamitra Nayak along with her mother Urmila Nayak visited back her hometown Kendrapara in 2022 after visiting London, Bangalore and Jakarta, she discovered a small city has great food joints, bakeries, restaurants, vegetable and grocery shops with little or no delivery capabilities to people's doorsteps. She also figured out that most people of all generations use smartphones and digital UPI payment capability as much as a normal thing like any other metro cities. This intrigued her to connect Food and other services via smart-phones to serve people directly in a hyperlocal mode.

Today, CenterShops operates in a hyperlocal mode in the online marketplace, connecting local merchants, consumers and delivery drivers to fulfill a service delivery in under 30 min to 1 hour. CenterShops is committed to serve thousands of customers weekly and has a near-future mission eventually to connect other high-quality, niche services to customers such as grocery, parcel pickup and deliveries etc.
